Hot but Fun Summer Ending in Bad News

It's been a hot but fun summer.  Lots and lots of swimming (Nate is part fish, I'm convinced of it). A beach vacation to Emerald Isle, NC. Stay-cation activities like the Franklin Institute and Dutch Wonderland.  The boys and I have had a blast.  Despite all their energy, Nate and Sam always find time to cuddle with me.  I'm so happy to have such great little brothers.  Unfortunately, I got some bad news yesterday.  I had to spend a very stressful day at the doctor's office.  They shaved my belly! I'm so ITCHY now.  Anyway, they did a test and found a mass on something called a liver.  The doc explained to my mom that I don't have a good prognosis but the doc sent us home with lots of meds to keep me comfy.  So far, I feel OK.  Kind of slow but I still love to eat and go for walkies.  I wish I knew more about my liver but Mommy cries a lot so I guess it's something important.  My plan is to keep wagging my tail until everyone starts smiling again.  That'll do the trick, I'm sure of it.

The Graduates

Nate and Sam are growing so fast.  They both graduated from their classes this year and are ready to chill out for the summer. I'm excited to go swimming with them at Grandmom's pool and go for walkies at the playground. I had some tooth trouble back in May and had to have surgery.  It was terrible but I'm all better now and enjoying the amazing food that Grandpop makes for me.  I'm slowing down but my pace is steady. Life is good.  No, life is great!

Halloween!

If you've been a true loyal fan of my blog, you know that I hate Halloween. However, I find that I like it a little better now that I have brothers to dress up with. This year, Star Wars was the theme. Nate was Anikin, Sam was Luke and I was R2D2. We got some good loot while out trick or treating and in the end, I really did have a good time. Mom also took me to Ursinus College for the annual dog costume contest.  I went as Perry the Platypus. I didn't win this year but women's field hockey team really loved me!

Nate's cross country coach was having a difficult time finding a place to host the end of season banquet so we had it at our house.  Boy was that fun!  There were so many kids here and they were dropping food left and right. Best day ever for me! Great friends and great memories.
